Retro has the best Karaoke Sound System in Kansas City, it absolutley has to be heard to believe!!!
On Thursdays we provide Karaoke for Retro in downtown KC, MO. Retro is located in Jackson County, Missouri just south of the Sprint Center. It is right across the street from The Kansas City Star building and next door to Crosstown Station.
This is a very classy bar with the theme being 60's and 70's music. There is a Rockola Jukebox with all music from this genre, even the table lamps are made of old 45 records. One of the main features at Retro is a reproduction of a mural that was created in the Czech Republic after the death of John Lennon.
Retro features a
state-of-the-art sound and lighting system with a large hard wood dance floor. The sound system is a zoned system that can be heard outside the bar. So people walking outside can hear the karaoke singers inside the bar.
The bar top is made of Brazillian Cherry and features a classic Velvet Elvis Painting in the middle of the back bar. There are also 2 classic phone booths for making cell phone calls without leaving the building. Retro also has an ATM machine to insure you don't run low on cash!
There is an exclusive VIP area that overlooks the dance floor, seats up to thirty and is available for parties and gatherings. Since the bar uses a zone sound system the music can be turned down so that your group can converse without having to raise a voice.
When it comes to drinks, Retro goes above and beyond. Their Well drinks are "Premium Wells" using Smirnoff, Jim Beam, Quervo etc. The mixers, coke, tonic and soda are all in 8 oz. individual bottles (no gun system) to insure the mixer is fresh and not flat.
The Wednesday Karaoke Drink Specials is $2.50 Import beers.
The Karaoke system is a state-of-the-art computerized system. This is the same system we have used for seven seasons of Harrah's Lucky Break TV Show. Jason Bigerstaff will be the KJ and Karaoke starts at 8:30 and goes to 12:30!
See you at Retro, Jackson County's best wednesday karaoke experience!
